Hepner has written Christmas movies before and found herself working with Nicely Entertainment.
鈥淭hey took a chance on me with this one,鈥 she says. 鈥淭he story isn鈥檛 the typical warm and fuzzy Christmas movie. It鈥檚 about grief and so many of us go through it. During the holidays, it can get a lot worse.鈥
Nicely Entertainment distributed it as a four-part series which aired in Canada.
When it began to stream in the United States, Hepner says the four-hour series was cut again to around 90 minutes.
鈥淭o be honest, I was nervous to see the final result,鈥 she says. 鈥淲e did have an amazing editor who got it right. It doesn鈥檛 miss a beat.鈥

Sarah Power and Jared Joseph star in the film as Emily and Noah.
鈥淪arah is a big deal and starred in 鈥楾he Good Witch,鈥 鈥 Hepner says. 鈥淭he two of them really brought the story to life.鈥
