Bring your dog to a ranger-led B.A.R.K. in the Park hike at the Salinas Pueblos Missions

The free event teaches pet etiquette and trail safety

The Quarai unit of the Salinas Pueblos Missions National Monument is hosting a B.A.R.K. in the Park hike in conjunction with Friends of Mountainair Animal Shelter at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6.

Furry friends are invited to participate in a ranger-led trail hike while learning about dog etiquette in the park.

The event is part of the B.A.R.K. Ranger Program 鈥� Bag your pet鈥檚 waste, Always leash your pet, Respect wildlife, and Know where you can go.

Future B.A.R.K. in the Park hikes will take place on July 4 and Oct. 3 at the Ab贸 unit, and Aug. 1, Sept. 5 and Nov. 7 at the Quarai unit.

The Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (Quarai unit) is located at 122 Manzano Quarai Road in Mountainair.
