Comedian Ali Siddiq brings 鈥楥ustom Fit鈥� tour to sa国际传媒官网网页入口鈥檚 Kiva Auditorium
The comedy veteran also has a new special, 鈥楳y Father,鈥� releasing June 21

Ali Siddiq said those who know his work know he likes long stories, and he鈥檚 bringing them to sa国际传媒官网网页入口.
Siddiq started doing stand-up in 1997 and has since done numerous specials, including 鈥淎li Siddiq: My Two Sons鈥� and a four-part series, 鈥淭he Domino Effect.鈥� He said those interested in seeing his works can go to his YouTube channel, 鈥淎li Siddiq Comedy,鈥� which streams a 24-hour feed of all his specials.
He has done stand-up in New Mexico before with his 鈥淚n the Shadows鈥� tour and will be bringing his 鈥淐ustom Fit鈥� tour to the Kiva Auditorium on Saturday, May 30.
鈥淚鈥檝e been doing it for almost 29 years,鈥� he said.
鈥淢y style hasn鈥檛 changed,鈥� Siddiq said. 鈥淭he stories have just changed due to more kids, more life situations, you know, just growing as a person.鈥�
He said his comedic style is long, detailed stories inspired by his life, so the stories he tells today aren鈥檛 the same as when he was young.
鈥淚鈥檓 52 years old, so I鈥檓 not the same as I was when I was 25,鈥� Siddiq said. 鈥淒ifferent stories, different things happen.鈥�
Over his years in comedy, he has won several awards, including three Webby Awards for his special 鈥淩ugged鈥� and a NAACP Image Award for 鈥淢y Two Sons.鈥� His new special, 鈥淢y Father,鈥� releases Sunday, June 21.
After more than two decades in the profession, Siddiq said he has not had a moment when he felt he has made it in comedy, because it is an ever-evolving journey he never plans to quit.
鈥淐omics don鈥檛 retire, we die and hopefully we can do it on stage,鈥� Siddiq said.
