AT BOOKS ON THE BOSQUE
At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, Hafeez Lakhani will discuss his new novel 鈥淎bundance.鈥
Publishers Weekly says, 鈥淟akhani鈥檚 perceptive debut follows the fates and fortunes of an Indian American family facing an impending loss. The bittersweet, character-driven narrative offers piercing insights into the meaning of fulfillment and the cost of success.鈥
At 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, Alexandra Diaz will chat about her new book 鈥淐amp Big Top, a coming of-age story about four kids who overcome challenges and form a strong friendship while trying to stop their circus camp from closing.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, June 14, documentary photographer Nathaniel Tetsuro Paolinelli will present his new book 鈥淪eventh and Central: Lowriders,鈥 an intimate portrait of sa国际传媒官网网页入口 lowrider culture through more than 130 photographs. It looks at lowrider culture as a living tradition shaped by memory, pride and community.
Besides Paolinelli talking about and signing copies of his book, there will be a lowrider car show and lowrider bikes, free kids鈥 haircuts, poetry by Jessica Helen Lopez and a DJ set with Lorenzo 鈥淗ouse鈥 Otero.

AT BOOKWORKS
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, Brian Jay Jones will chat about his new book 鈥淭he Capitol: The Surprising Biography of an American Building.鈥
The book is described as a sweeping, in-depth exploration of the history of the U.S. Capitol and the dramatic stories of the people who built it.
The book encompasses history, politics, popular culture and race. 鈥淭he Capitol鈥 also delves into a secret past that is filled with political intrigue, assassination attempts, thwarted bombing and gunmen on the run.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, Cassie Sanchez of sa国际传媒官网网页入口 will meet and greet customers and autograph her new book, 鈥淏attle Beyond the Veil: An Urban Fantasy Where Angels and Demons Collide.鈥

AT COLLECTED WORKS
Three authors and their books will share the stage at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at the Santa Fe bookstore.
Co-authors Sarah Lovett and Ron Schultz will discuss their new book, 鈥淢etal Viper: A Kae Zhang Thriller.鈥 A 12-year-old writes a poem offering hope, but Myanmar鈥檚 ruling military junta arrests the young boy, charges him with treason and intends to put him to death. In Myanmar hope is a crime. Meanwhile, Kae Zhang, leader of an international organization that fights terror, tries to rescue the child.
Colin Barker, will talk about his book 鈥淐haco: Mirrors and Murder.鈥 The story tells of professor Candrew Nor, a geologist who is working with a team of archaeologists studying the ancient Anasazi culture of Chaco Canyon. Nor learns of an archaeologist who apparently dies in an accidental fall. Then he stumbles across the body of another archaeologist.
Could both deaths be accidental?

AT GARCIA STREET BOOKS
At 4 p.m. Sunday, June 7, literary translator Caroline Froh will discuss the book 鈥淣ightmare of the Embryos鈥 with Sarah Haas.
Froh translated the book, which is a collection of German short fiction. Mariella Mehr, who died in 2022, wrote the stories in the collection.
