3 hospitalized after plane crash in Doña Ana County
One person is in critical condition and two others are in serious but stable condition
Three people were hospitalized Friday morning after a small plane crashed in southern New Mexico.
Daniel Medrano, chief of the Sunland Park Fire Department, said firefighters were notified about the crash around 11 a.m.
The people, including the pilot, were injured after a small aircraft crashed at the Doña Ana County International Jetport, he said.
"Sunland Park transported one by ground to the University Medical Center of El Paso in critical condition," Medrano said. "The other two were transported by Native Air and El Paso Fire Department Fire Star — both of them helicopters or ambulances — to University Medical in El Paso."
The other two passengers were in serious but stable condition, Medrano said.
New Mexico State Police is investigating the crash.
