I'm pleased that law enforcement officers are filing lawsuits against Trump's "ANTI-WEAPONIZATION FUND.鈥� Trump says it's to compensate those who were done wrong. What a joke. Brave officers were the ones wronged when mob mentality was "weaponized.鈥� Let my taxpayer dollars go to officers who were the real ones hurt horribly. DD
Trump withdrew his bogus LAWSUIT against the IRS in exchange for $1.8 billion, presumably for Jan. 6 criminals and guarantees of no future audits of his taxes. He and his buddies will actually get all or most of the money while he cuts programs helping Americans. Such blatant corruption! RP
A question for MAGA SUPPORTERS, Trump Republicans and Jeff Tucker: If Trump is, by his own account, the greatest president in U.S. history and is improving the country in every way, why do two-thirds of Americans believe he is failing so badly? Wake up. BD
So now STEVE PEARCE is in charge of the Bureau of Land Management. This is a man who has been fighting against public lands for decades. And that is why Senate Republicans confirmed him. Drill, baby, drill. Billionaires need more. JH

DUKE RODRIGUEZ is showing his character in his run for governor; questionable NM residency and now unauthorized use of Trump's image in his political ads. He won't be in contention as a GOP candidate and should stick to his cannabis business. EN
The violence against the HOMELESS POPULATION is on the City Council and the mayor, who are doing nothing but aggravating the problem. Citizens are tired of having to view and deal with what they encounter on our streets. The degree of filth and human depravity wears on you after a while. GH
Shout-out to all three Republican gubernatorial candidates. THE MAY 8 DEBATE was outstanding and refreshing, showcasing intelligent, qualified leaders focused on practical solutions for New Mexico. They engaged respectfully, avoided finger-pointing, and addressed issues thoughtfully. Any of the three would serve the state well as governor and help raise standards statewide overall. BD

So Reps. Stansberry and Vasquez could not say thank you and voted on May 15 against "Concurrent Resolution 96, Expressing Support for LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.鈥� They couldn't do the right thing and stand up to say thanks. Where's the leadership? Sigh. ML

President Trump is shutting down wind farms and cutting solar energy projects while expanding the burning of FOSSIL FUELS in every way imaginable. He is opening up 1.3 billion acres of U.S. coastal waters to further oil and natural gas drilling while enriching himself along the way. WDS

Reasons: highest crime rate; second in overall safety concerns; third lowest in health; 1 in 5 residents lives in poverty; lowest performing K-12 public schools. Democrats have run this state for years. Isn鈥檛 it time for a change? LT
Is anyone really surprised with the 鈥�BLUE DOT FEVER鈥� under Trump鈥檚 dismal and corrupt administration who only caters to the wealthy. Most Americans need to pay much higher prices for food, gas, healthcare, etc., and inflation keeps increasing. Who can afford to buy expensive concert tickets? CC

DEB HAALAND consistently opposed oil and gas development under President Biden 鈥� restricting new leasing, backing long鈥憈erm federal land withdrawals and driving the Interior Department toward climate鈥慸riven limits. She even opposed Alaska鈥檚 Willow project while in Congress. Her record reflects extreme environmentalist priorities which would be disastrous for New Mexico鈥檚 economy. Think. SV
