A hand-poured ice popsicle brand is bringing the chill to sa国际传媒官网网页入口.

Frios Gourmet Pops, a chain that sells its hand-poured popsicles in mobile trucks across 100 locations in 25 states, is bringing its plethora of flavors to the Duke City with its first sa国际传媒官网网页入口 truck.

Native New Mexican and franchisee Will Garcia debuted the brand and its selection of more than 25 flavors at the New Mexico State Fair in early September. sa国际传媒官网网页入口 is now the second New Mexico city to welcome the brand, following Alamogordo.

Garcia discovered the brand earlier this year after leaving his corporate job of 12 years in search of a franchise opportunity.

鈥淚 wanted to be my own boss,鈥� Garcia said. 鈥淔rios grabbed my attention because it was in your face, so bright. Everything I saw, there were smiling faces and they鈥檙e really community-driven. I think that鈥檚 something that鈥檇 be good for sa国际传媒官网网页入口.鈥�

Garcia said the State Fair debut aimed to get the brand out there. Some of the most popular flavors seemed to be fruity cereal, cold brew, root beer float and pickle, with pops going for about $5, Garcia said.

Rather than operating in just one location, Garcia will partner with schools and different organizations to serve as a vendor at events and fundraisers. Garcia said people with the truck鈥檚 activity on social media.

The business is currently a one-man show primarily serving sa国际传媒官网网页入口鈥檚 West Side, but Garcia hopes to grow the operation by adding some carts and one or two part-time employees early next spring.

鈥淔rios is for everyone, so it鈥檚 just spreading the love,鈥� Garcia said.
