Eagle Nest and Fenton Lake announce closures due to icy conditions

The State Parks Division of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department has announced that both and are closed to boating and ice-fishing due to "unsafe weather conditions."
Eagle Nest Lake is at 8,200 feet in elevation and Fenton Lake is 7, 650 feet in elevation.
Both lakes have portions of ice forming that are not yet quite thick enough for ice fishing, a news release said.
The release said the lakes are closed off for all watercraft such as canoes, kayaks, inflatables and all types of motorboats until further notice.

Eagle Nest Lake is located about three hours from sa国际传媒官网网页入口, just north of Angel Fire, and Fenton Lake is less than two hours from sa国际传媒官网网页入口, just north of Jemez Springs.
