Be their guest: Popejoy announces 2026-27 season including '&Juliet,' 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Hamilton'

Popejoy Hall has announced their 2026-27 鈥淏roadway in New Mexico Series鈥� and the lineup includes some Land of Enchantment debuts, along with familiar favorites.
Popejoy will bring six shows to the stage: 鈥淒isney鈥檚 Beauty and the Beast,鈥� 鈥�& Juliet,鈥� 鈥淭he Bodyguard,鈥� 鈥淭he Outsiders,鈥� 鈥淢amma Mia!鈥� and 鈥淗amilton.鈥�
While three shows will be staged for the first time at Popejoy 鈥� 鈥�& Juliet,鈥� 鈥淭he Bodyguard鈥� and 鈥淭he Outsiders鈥� 鈥� 鈥淢amma Mia!鈥� and 鈥淏eauty and the Beast鈥� are back for the first time in nearly a decade.
Fabianna Borghese, director of Popejoy Hall, is eager to see them return.
鈥淚 have never actually seen 鈥楳amma Mia!鈥� on stage, so I鈥檓 excited to see that,鈥� she said, 鈥渁nd then 鈥楤eauty and the Beast鈥� is so beautiful.鈥�
鈥淭he costumes and music, and it has so many elements that classic kind of Broadway musicals have with the big ballads, the love story, the big dance numbers, very kind of flashy in that way,鈥� Borghese said.
Borghese said it is important to bring both new and classic shows to New Mexico audiences. 鈥淢amma Mia!鈥� and 鈥淒isney鈥檚 Beauty and the Beast鈥� were first staged in the 1990s, with 2022鈥檚 鈥�& Juliet鈥� and 2024鈥檚 鈥淭he Outsiders鈥� more recent musicals making the jump off Broadway.
鈥淲e all love the classics, and so I think that鈥檚 important to still keep the classics and bringing that to new audiences as well,鈥� Borghese said. 鈥淚f you鈥檙e younger and have never seen some of the more classic musicals, it鈥檚 always kind of great to see these new tours that sometimes bring some fresh eyes to it.鈥�
Members who previously subscribed to the 鈥淏roadway in New Mexico鈥� package can renew their subscription now and potential members can join a waitlist to purchase a package.
鈥淚f you are not currently a subscriber and would like to be one, we have a wait list that you can join. Then on (Friday) March 6, those wait-listed people will be able to jump in line and buy a subscription package,鈥� Borghese said.
Monday, March 9, is when new subscription sales start, Borghese said.
鈥淪o if you鈥檙e not already a Broadway subscriber, you can become a new subscriber and get tickets to all of the shows this season.鈥�
The season subscriptions begin at $205 for a five-show package, excluding 鈥淗amilton鈥�; ticket packages that include 鈥淗amilton鈥� are $254. Individual show tickets will be released on a show-to-show basis.
