Brewdoso returns to Ruidoso on June 20 with craft beer, live music and more
The event will feature nine breweries, two wineries and one distillery — all from the Land of Enchantment
As the season shifts to summer and temperatures rise, Brewdoso offers the chance to cool off and enjoy a variety of craft beers in the process.
The seventh annual Brewdoso will take place on Saturday, June 20, at Wingfield Park in Ruidoso. The event will feature nine breweries, two wineries and one distillery — all from the Land of Enchantment. A ticket includes five drink samples, with full pours available for purchase. Proceeds from the event benefit the Ruidoso Midtown Association, which uses the funds to help promote small businesses and economic vitality in the area.
“It’s up in the mountains. It’s in a flat area. You’ve got pine trees all surrounding it,” Tim Duckworth, Ruidoso Midtown Association executive director, said. “It’s just really nice to have the backdrop of the trees. We’re 7,000 feet up, so it’s a lot cooler.”
Duckworth is hoping for attendance in the range of 800 to 1,000 people. That should be an improvement from recent years, which after COVID included devastating wildfires in 2024 and flooding in 2025. Additionally, last year’s event was scheduled in August, which coincided with monsoon season.
“It rained all day,” Duckworth said. “Knocked the power out on stage. It was miserable. But we did it. We tried a different date, which was a mistake on our end … We probably had 300 people. So this time we’re doing it early, like we used to do it on Father’s Day weekend.”
“… There were all these things that kept knocking us back, so this year we’re really bringing it back up to par.”
The event features representation from all over the state, including the Ruidoso-based Lost Hiker Brewing, Noisy Water Winery and Downshift Brewing Company, the latter of which is sponsoring the VIP tent. The VIP area includes fast-track entry, reserved seating, and exclusive brewery and distillery access. saʴýҳ staples such as Boxing Bear Brewery Co., Tractor Brewing Co. and Steel Bender Brewyard will also be on hand, as will establishments from Santa Fe, Las Cruces and Carlsbad.
According to Duckworth, the event attracts a fairly significant regional audience, including a decent amount of traffic from Texas.
“They want to come and see what’s going on up here and what the different flavors and styles are,” Duckworth said. “Because, in brewing beer, a lot of people do different flavors.”
There’s plenty to entice those who don’t want to imbibe, as well. There will be a number of musical acts performing, with genres ranging from country to rock to Latin to funk. Food trucks and merchants will also be in attendance, and other attractions include axe throwing, rock climbing and even a mechanical bull. Admission for those under the age of 21 is free. Additionally, Duckworth points out that Ruidoso’s Midtown area, which includes a variety of shops and restaurants, is in close proximity.
“It’s geared to be a fun, family-friendly environment,” Duckworth said.
