Incident marked third shooting by officers in past week
Police shot and killed a person Friday evening in Northeast sa国际传媒官网网页入口.
Gilbert Gallegos, an sa国际传媒官网网页入口 police spokesperson, said no officers were injured and the person died at the scene of the shooting, which unfolded near San Mateo and Central.
Gallegos did not identify the person, say if they were armed or give any other details.
The incident marked the third time officers shot someone since Sunday and the second shooting that was fatal. It is the fifth police shooting so far this year.
On Sunday, police shot and injured Dwayne Wilson after what began as a domestic violence call. Then, on Tuesday evening, officers shot and killed Jose Armas who, according to police, had opened fire on them.
