APD investigating man's death near Smith's in North Valley
It is unclear what started fire or how it's connected to death

A man was found dead Sunday after a fire near Smith鈥檚 in the North Valley.
Police did not release the man鈥檚 identity.
The sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Police Department received a call at around 10:30 a.m. of a dead body behind Smith鈥檚 in the 6100 block of Fourth Street in Los Ranchos de sa国际传媒官网网页入口, south of Osuna, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said in a news release.
Officers later learned that Bernalillo County Fire & Rescue had responded to an overnight fire behind a nearby business, he said.
It is unclear if there is a connection between the fire and dead man.
鈥淎fter a preliminary investigation of the scene, APD homicide detectives were called out to take over the investigation,鈥� Gallegos said.
Attempts were made to reach out to BCFR for more on the fire, but they did not respond as of Sunday afternoon.
