A public Catholic memorial service for sa国际传媒官网网页入口 reporter and columnist Ollie Reed Jr. will be held at the San Ysidro Catholic Church on Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. A rosary will start at 9:30 a.m., and lunch will be served following the mass.
A beloved friend, renowned writer and "Cowboy Poet," Reed died in his home in Corrales Nov. 19 at the age of 76.
On Friday, former and current colleagues, primarily from the Journal and the sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Tribune, gathered at the sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Press Club for a celebration of life event for Reed. Reporters, editors and photographers were just a few of roughly 100 people who came to share stories of the successful life Reed led.
