UNM鈥檚 20205-26 women鈥檚 basketball recruiting class officially got bigger and better Wednesday.

The Lobos announced three signings only one of whom had previously made her commitment public. Set to join UNM next season are:

Maya Thompson: 5-foot-11 guard from Dallas鈥 Emerson High School.

Thompson, the daughter of former UNM football wide receiver Germany Thompson, averaged 18.8 points and 8.7 rebounds last season. She鈥檚 a two-time All-Region selection and was named Defensive Player of the Year. Thompson, who has family in the sa国际传媒官网网页入口/Rio Rancho area, verbally committed to UNM during the summer.

Elizabeth Johnson: 6-2 center from Orcutt Academy in San Luis Obispo, California.

Johnson, who has averaged a double-double for three straight seasons, kept friends and family in suspense until Tuesday when she announced her decision to play at UNM. Johnson averaged 23.3 points and 15.9 rebounds per game as a junior, when she was named Santa Maria Times Area Player of the Year. She had numerous Division I offers, including from Mountain West rivals UNLV, Fresno State and future MW rival Hawaii. She announced her choice at a signing ceremony at her school.

鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 a hard decision,鈥 Johnson told the Santa Maria Times. 鈥淚t felt right.鈥

Quintilla Hidalgo: 5-9 guard from Almere, The Netherlands.

Hidalgo, who goes by Quin, has played for The Netherlands Youth National Team for the past three seasons. She excelled at the 2025 FIBA U18 Women鈥檚 EuroBasket, averaging 13.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the tournament. Hidalgo visited UNM鈥檚 campus among others in October and committed to join the Lobos after returning home.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a strong group,鈥 UNM coach Mike Bradbury said. 鈥淭his year鈥檚 freshmen are already making an impact and these players will keep that momentum going. They鈥檙e all really athletic. Maya鈥檚 a natural scorer, Elizabeth is a relentless, physical post and Quin is a long, attacking guard. We feel really good about this class.鈥
