Beyond 鈥楤orders鈥�
Quintessence: A Community of Singers is opening its 2025-26 concert season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 with 鈥淏orders and Bridges.鈥� The program includes musical works featuring the themes of migration, immigration and the search for freedom. Asian excellence
The 2025 Chinese American Film Festival is celebrating cinema at the South Broadway Cultural Center on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19. Featured films include 鈥淐losing Time鈥� from Sherwin Lau, associate film professor at New Mexico State University; 鈥淭en Times Better,鈥� the story of dancer George Lee; and the live action remake of 鈥淢ulan.鈥� The event will also feature panel discussions, karate demonstrations and dance performances. The ABQ Headbangers Market, a collision of darker-themed arts, crafts and live heavy music, is coming to Fusion from 3-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. Cultural showcase
The Coronado Historic Site is hosting the 2025 Fiesta of the Cultures: The Many Cultures of New Mexico from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. The event will include performances by Jemez Pueblo Dancers, the Wilde Bunch LGBTQ+ Square Dancers, Trupthi鈥檚 Academy of (East Indian) Dance and Music and McTeggart Irish Dance.
