Treasure House Books & Gifts will host two author events this week.
Irene I. Blea will read from and sign copies of her book 鈥淭alking with Rudy鈥 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30. Blea will read from conversations she had with the late Chicano author Rudolfo Anaya.
Anaya was a famous New Mexico-born novelist, poet, playwright and essayist. His most remembered book was the novel 鈥淏less Me, Ultima.鈥
Blea鈥檚 talks with Anaya covered such subjects as growing up in New Mexico, university life, dying, death and spirituality.
From 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, poet Trier Ward, an sa国际传媒官网网页入口 resident since 2015, will reads from and sign copies of her poetry collection 鈥淭he Art of Escape.鈥
Treasure House is located at 2012 South Plaza St. NW, Old Town.
AT BOOKWORKS
The bookstore will host its third annual event celebrating National Poetry Month at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1. At the event, local poets Sarah Kotchian, Sara Daniele Rivera, Mary Oishi, Michelle Otero, Hakim Bellamy and V.B. Price will read from their work.
New Mexico author Elizabeth Rose Quinn will read from and sign copies of her debut thriller 鈥淔ollow Me鈥 at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. The book is described as a 鈥渃reepy and frighteningly funny satiric thriller about a woman who sets out to find her missing sister and (in the process) uncovers the real horror of Mom-stag-ram culture.鈥

AT BOOKS ON THE BOSQUE
Three New Mexico authors 鈥 Zachary Succardi, Sarah Doolittle and J.A.M. Kinsella 鈥 will autograph copies of their books at noon Saturday, April 5, at the bookstore, which is located at 6261 Riverside Plaza Lane NW.
IN MOUNTAINAIR
Mountainair author David Policansky will give a talk at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, on the latest volume in his series on the historic Catholic Churches of New Mexico. The newly published volume, with full-page interior and exterior photographs, is on the 鈥淗istoric Catholic Churches of Northwest New Mexico.鈥
Policansky鈥檚 talk, presented by the Torrance County Archaeological Society, will be held at the Manzano Mountain Art Council, 101 East Broadway, Mountainair. The talk is free and open to the public.
IN SANTA FE
New Mexico poets Mary McGinnis and Kathamann will read from their work at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Geronimo鈥檚 Books, 3018 Cielo Court, Suite D, Santa Fe. The readings are part of the bookstore celebration of National Poetry Month.

SOMOS Salon is presenting poetry readings on two successive days this week.
At 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, sa国际传媒官网网页入口 poets Bill Nevins and Trier Ward will read. Nevins鈥 latest collection is titled 鈥淟ight Bending.鈥
At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, Taos poets Alan Macrae and Beth Enson will read.
