It鈥檚 Labor Day weekend.

Which means it鈥檚 time for the Harvest Wine Festival.

The festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, through Monday, Sept. 4, at Balloon Fiesta Park in sa国际传媒官网网页入口 and the Do帽a Ana County Fairgrounds in Las Cruces.

The two events showcase New Mexico wineries and their products.

鈥淓very year is a new experience,鈥 says Dean Strober, of Blue River Productions. 鈥淲e are featuring about New Mexico wineries that are making New Mexico wine with New Mexico grown grapes. That鈥檚 the prerequisite.鈥

The Harvest Wine Festival in sa国际传媒官网网页入口 is marking its sixth year. The event grew from the Wine and Jazz Festival, which was held prior to the Harvest Wine Festival taking over the Labor Day slot.

Strober says the Harvest Wine Festival is the last chance where so many wineries will be on hand for tastings.

鈥淰isitors also have an opportunity to meet the winemakers,鈥 he says. 鈥淥therwise, you鈥檇 have to drive around the entire state to get to the different wineries.鈥

Returning this year are the dueling pianos 鈥 which is something Strober looks forward to.

鈥淭here are two world-class pianists playing audience favorites, and you can make your request,鈥 he says. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a really awesome experience because it鈥檚 something different. We partner with Uptown Funk Dueling Piano to bring it to the Harvest Wine Festival. I think it sets us apart because it is so different.鈥

There will also be vendors, both food and homemade goods, on site.

Strober says there will be a silent disco, as well as miniature golf and painting classes.

鈥淭he draw is unlimited wine tastings,鈥 he says with a laugh. 鈥淚t鈥檚 all about discovering new wines. It鈥檚 also a great time to do holiday shopping.鈥

Every ticket includes $5 off a bottle of wine.

Strober reminds guests to drink responsibly and to check the Facebook page for the Harvest Wine Festival for Uber codes.

鈥淣othing is more important than having people get home safe,鈥 Strober says.
