I want to ride my bicycle
Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center is hosting a Pop Up Repair Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. The event will teach how to adjust your brakes and shifting, how to lubricate your chain correctly, how to repair a flat tire and more. The event is free but is weather dependent. The South Valley Library is located at 3904 Isleta Blvd. SW.
Forces of nature
Keshet Dance Company New Works is bringing 鈥淭arrion,鈥 a contemporary dance work that 鈥渆xplores concepts of humanity, energy, forces of nature, and the essence/experience of inconclusiveness,鈥 to the stage 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11. 鈥淭arrion鈥 is a collaboration between sa国际传媒官网网页入口-based multimedia composer Zachariah Julian and choreographer, Keshet Company Dancer and director of arts

Shear fun
It鈥檚 Sheep Shearing Day at Los Luceros Historic Site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Sheep will get their spring shearing using traditional double-bow hand shears, and visitors will be able to help skirt the wool. The event is held in conjunction with the Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area鈥檚 Cultures and Creators Visual Arts Festival, which includes an art exhibition and hands-on activities at the site. Admission is $7 per adult, and free for qualified individuals at my.nmculture.org/events. Los Luceros Historic Site is located at 253 County Road 41 in Alcalde.
Desert darlings
The Cactus and Succulent Society of New Mexico is holding a show and sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12. The show will feature hundreds of plants from collections around the region. There will also be vendors on hand, and some plants will be sold through a silent auction. Musical opportunity
Chamber Music sa国际传媒官网网页入口 presents the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Wind Ensemble at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Indie psychedelic pop/rock band Banshee Tree will be joining MarchFourth at the Historic El Rey Theater at 8 p.m. Friday, April 10.
