CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Emma and Evan combined to catch eight trout and released at least five more using Mice Tails without a bobber at Monastery Lake on March 28.
Alijah Ortiz, 8, caught three trout using worms at the El Pueblo Dam on the Pecos River on March 28.
Russ Keys caught a northern pike using a segmented swim bait with an orange belly from a kayak at Cochiti Lake on March 25.
Paloma Sisson, 2陆, caught a trout using Green PowerBait on her Barbie fishing rod at Tingley Beach during her first fishing trip on March 29.
Alberto Vasquez caught a 6-pound, 4-ounce bass as part of a total of 10 bass using Hendrix Fishing 6-inch VooDoo Finesse Worms at Bill Evans Lake on March 21. The younger Alberto Vasquez caught 10 bass of his own using Hendrix Fishing 6-inch VooDoo Finesse Worms at Bill Evans Lake on March 21.
EJ Palacios caught four largemouth bass using a square bill while fishing with his family at Bill Evans Lake on March 21.
Carlos Griego and his dad, Robert, teamed up to catch a catfish using Gulp Trout Bait at Escondida Lake on March 26.
Wynlee May Weathers caught two chubby 17-inch trout using Garlic PowerBait 鈥 鈥渢he sparkling kind鈥 鈥 on the west side of Quemado Lake on March 28.
Austyn Riley and his parents each caught their limit of catfish using PowerBait at Rancho Grande Ponds on March 29. Austyn caught 12 fish in all, keeping his limit of five and releasing the rest.
Ayden Baca, 7, caught four rainbow trout, and Ayla Baca, 3, caught three using Corn PowerBait while fishing with their dad at the kiddie ponds at Blue Hole Park Pond on March 28.
Cesar Cordero and his group caught their limits of trout using Green Garlic PowerBait at Bonito Lake on March 23.
Dominic Chavez caught two largemouth bass using poor house curly tail grubs at Santa Rosa Lake on March 29.

The upper and lower lakes at Charette Lakes have reopened to the public.
Clayton Lake has reopened to the public.
Streamflow on the Cimarron River near Cimarron on Wednesday morning was 11.6 cubic feet per second (cfs).
The most recent report for Conchas Lake was received March 26. At that time, fishing for largemouth bass was slow to fair using plastic tubes.

Streamflow on the Rio Chama below El Vado Lake on Wednesday morning was 259 cfs; streamflow below Abiqui煤 Lake on Wednesday morning was 353 cfs. Please remember, from the river-crossing bridge on U.S. Highway 84 at Abiqui煤 upstream 7 miles to the base of Abiqui煤 Dam is special trout waters with a bag limit of only two trout.
Streamflow on the Rio Grande at sa国际传媒官网网页入口 on Wednesday morning was 258 cfs.
Streamflow on the San Juan River near Archuleta on Wednesday morning was 276 cfs. Fly-fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout in the quality waters was very good. Fishing for trout was good using salmon eggs in the bait section.
The most recent report for Seven Springs Kids鈥 Pond was received March 26. At that time, fishing for trout was very good using olive-colored Pistol Petes. If you catch a native Rio Grande chub in the Kid鈥檚 Pond, please do not leave it on the bank; return it to the water where it can survive as part of our native ecosystem.

Southwest fishing report
Fishing conditions at Bear Canyon Lake have been adversely affected in the aftermath of the Trout Fire.
Fishing for largemouth bass at Bill Evans Lake was very good using Hendrix Fishing 6-inch VooDoo Finesse Worms and fair to good using square bills.
Fishing for white bass at Elephant Butte Lake was very good using a variety of lures. The South Monticello boat ramp is currently closed due to low water levels. The closure will be lifted when water levels rise and conditions allow.
Fishing for catfish at Escondida Lake was slow using Gulp Trout Bait.
Streamflow on the Gila River near Gila on Wednesday morning was 61.2 cfs.
Streamflow at the Gila Waters near Gila Hot Springs on Wednesday morning was 66.2 cfs.
The most recent report for Lake Roberts was received March 26. At that time, fishing for trout was slow to fair using PowerBait and good using rooster tail spinners from a kayak.
Fishing for trout at Quemado Lake was slow to fair using Garlic PowerBait.
Fishing for catfish at Rancho Grande Ponds was very good using PowerBait.
Streamflow on the Rio Grande below Elephant Butte Dam on Wednesday morning was 0.1 cfs.
