Honoring Juneteenth
Celebrate Juneteenth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Rio Rancho鈥檚 Haynes Park. The free event will feature a Caribbean band, gospel singer Diana Bethany, the Omenka Dancers and more. Haynes Park is located at 2006 Grande Blvd. SE in Rio Rancho.
鈥楢vanyu Nights鈥�
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is hosting 鈥淎vanyu Nights: Music in the Plaza鈥� from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, June 20, presented by the 19 Pueblos District. The free event will feature live music from pop-rock band Red Light Cameras, along with a community car show presented by the sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Classic Car and Truck Club. Avanyu Plaza is located on 12th Street NW, just north of Interstate 40.
Getting abstract
The sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Abstract Artists Alliance is showing 鈥淣ew Vision of the Natural World,鈥� an exhibit of work at the Open Space Visitors Center opening Saturday, June 20, and running through Aug. 1. There will be an opening reception from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday. The Open Space Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday鈥揝aturday and is located at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW.
The Day has come
Singer-songwriter Amelia Day will play at the ABQ BioPark Zoo on Friday, June 19. The event starts at 6 p.m., and the featured zoo theme of the night is 鈥淭he Americas.鈥� Eventgoers can learn about hawks, owls, condors and more before Day takes to the Bandshell Stage at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4.50-$18 at , free for children 2 and under. The BioPark Zoo is located at 903 Tenth St. SW.
Revved up
The second annual SuperNationals are coming to the sa国际传媒官网网页入口 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20. The show will feature hot rods, muscle cars, super cars and more. There will also be food trucks on site. The event is free, but parking is $10, benefiting the sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Christian School. The sa国际传媒官网网页入口 is located at 7777 Jefferson St. NE. Got the blues
Catch The Rudy Boy Experiment, Toni Morgan鈥檚 Band and One More Silver Dollar at the Bernalillo Blues Festival from 4-10 p.m. Saturday, June 20. In addition to the musical lineup, there will be a globitos display, a car show, vendors and more. Tickets are $10, plus fees, at , and children 5 and under are free. The festival will take place at Loretto Park, 237 S. Camino Del Pueblo in Bernalillo.
Summer skies
The sa国际传媒官网网页入口 Astronomical Society is hosting a free Star Party from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Placitas Community Library. The event will start with solar observing, followed by a Fab Fifty Summer Session led by James Carr and night observing. The Placitas Community Library is located at 452 N.M. Highway 165 in Placitas.
