Born to Pride: Thousands line Route 66 to revel in the city’s 50th Pride Parade

Thousands took to Route 66 on Saturday, donning colorful costumes, accessories and even some birthday suits to celebrate saʴýҳ’s 50th Pride Parade. Revelers marched, danced and rode bikes from San Mateo to Girard.

The marchers shared Central Avenue with bright and bouncy parade floats as spectators lined the sidewalks and packed the saʴýҳ Rapid Transit stations to cheer the occasion. Some businesses in Nob Hill set up tables and sold merchandise and goodies to join in on the rainbow-drenched festivities.
