On Saturday, dozens of volunteers placed U.S. flags atop the nearly 55,000 graves of deceased military members and their spouses at Santa Fe National Cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day on Monday.

Events commemorating Memorial Day are happening statewide. The national cemetery will hold its annual commemoration on Monday at 10 a.m., with Santa Fe Mayor Michael Garcia serving as keynote speaker.

In sa国际传媒官网网页入口, a ceremony will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial on Louisiana SE, north of Gibson. In Rio Rancho, a ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, off Southern just west of N.M. 528.
